The
DVS Poster Campaign The DVS
has decided to launch a poster campaign and we urge all members of the
DVS to play an active role in making this campaign a success. The primary objective of the campaign is to raise the profile of the Shakespeare Authorship Question in the publics mind by questioning the Stratfordian claims to authorship. The secondary objective is to encourage people to visit the DVS website where they can inform themselves more fully about the issue in general and in Edward de Vere in particular. Our website is a vital tool in promoting the aims of our society to a largely skeptical public. The aim being, of course, both to inform the public that the Shakespeare Authorship Question is a legitimate subject of debate and that Edward de Vere is the most compelling candidate in that debate. The website is also one of the main opportunities that the Society has in recruiting new members to Edward de Veres banner in the battle against Stratfordian orthodoxy. The more members we can recruit, the more funds the Society has at its disposal to continue its promotional activities. On current
levels the website attracts around 800 unique visitors a month and, while
this is reasonably healthy, we are hoping that this Poster Campaign will
increase the traffic to our site, and, hopefully, more recruits to our
society. The
poster How to
take part The preferred
size of the poster itself is A3 and, for those without access to an A3
printer or photocopier, the cost of having your local high street copy
shop either print the A3 pdf or produce an enlarged A3 copy from your
A4 copy is not prohibitive. We also suggest that you also print off a
number of copies of the A4 version as leaflets. Armed with copies of the A3 posters and A4 leaflets (and a box of drawing pins), you should now visit your local public libraries and place the posters on the noticeboards and also leave a pile of the A4 leaflet versions for people to take home with them. We would
particularly like to encourage students to place these posters at their
colleges and universities on the Students Union, English
and History department and University Library noticeboards. Indeed, anywhere
that is likely to be fertile ground for potential new members to hear
about and, hopefully, consider joining the DVS. Updates
